Google Chrome OS – A Free Operating System from Google
Google has let it known that it is building a brand new operating system. One which is going to raise Cloud computing to a whole new level. This new Operating system from Google is called Google Chrome OS – named after Google’s web browser Chrome. The OS is going to be released some time next year (2010).
The early details let out by Google indicate that the Google Chrome OS is developed with Netbooks in mind. And it will run on Intel x86 and ARM architectures.
Google Chrome OS will be -
- Free. Is going to be released as an Open Source OS.
- Will be fast – Short bootup times.
- Light weight – Make use of very less memory resources.
- Simple – Even a child or your granny will be able to use it with ease.
- And Secure. You can say goodbye to viruses.
