Zoho Online Document Viewer for PDF, DOC, Ppt, Xls

Zoho is a suite of online applications (services) that you sign up for and access online. The applications are free for individuals and some have a subscription fee for organizations. Zoho suite consists of word processors, note taking apps (Check out Microsoft OneNote alternatives), spreadsheets, presentation tools, wiki (Also see DokuWiki), planners, email (web mail) and more.

Zoho provides an easy way to view your documents within your web browser with no software installed on your computer. The document types supported are Microsoft Word (doc), Microsoft Excel (xls), Microsoft Powerpoint (ppt), and of course Adobe Acrobat (PDF) documents.

Zoho online document viewer will accept a web address of the document or you can upload the document from your computer.  You can also specify a time duration for which the document will be available.

The expiry time has 4 choices namely 1 day, 1 week, 1 month and “do not expire”.  There is no option to provide a custom expiry time though.

The documents (whether they are PDF, PPT, DOC, or XLS) are clearly rendered in their original formats.

Zoho online document viewer (accessible here)  is a sure shot way of viewing your documents from anywhere irrespective of whether you have MS Office or Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your machine.

Incidentally, Google also provides its own online document viewer. However, it doesn’t allow you to upload a document from your computer.
