My Titan Wrist Watch
Titan watches are well known the world over, and particularly in India. Recently, when I decided to buy a new wrist watch, I was drawn towards the Titan brand of watches. The reason being, Titan watches in India are well established and have good customer support.

My Titan Watch
The Titan wrist watch I zeroed in on is an elegant mens watch with gold plating and Roman numerals. It has a genuine leather strap in black. At the 3 O’Clock position, there is a small, unobtrusive circle which displays the date.

It has a stainless steel back and is guaranteed to be water tight for up to 30 meters depth. However, the booklet I received with this watch specifically says their water proof watches should not be used while swimming or face heavy rain.
This watch cost me a modest (Indian Rupees) INR 1295 ~ $30 (US Dollars).
Titan Watch Guarantee
Titan provides a 2 years guarantee for this watch against any manufacturing defects from the date of original retail purchase.
However, the guarantee does not cover the following :
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by mishandling, including damage to mineral glass or acrylic crystal and strap or bracelet.
- Damage caused by the watch being opened anywhere other than a Titan customer service center.
- Plating damage due to exposure to chemical solvents, detergents, adhesives, cosmetic sprays etc.
- Plating wear-off on the underside of the metal bracelet.
- Damage due to water entry in a watch which is not marked ‘Water Resistant’.
