My Titan Wrist Watch

Titan watches are well known the world over, and particularly in India. Recently, when I decided to buy a new wrist watch, I was drawn towards the Titan brand of watches. The reason being,  Titan watches in India  are well established and have good customer support.

My Titan Watch

The Titan wrist watch I zeroed in on is an elegant mens watch with gold plating and Roman numerals. It has a genuine leather strap in black. At the 3 O’Clock position, there is a small, unobtrusive circle  which displays the  date.

It has a stainless steel back and is guaranteed to be water tight for up to 30 meters depth. However, the booklet I received with this watch specifically says their water proof watches should not be used while swimming or face heavy rain.

This watch cost me a modest (Indian Rupees) INR 1295 ~ $30 (US Dollars).

Titan Watch Guarantee

Titan provides a  2 years guarantee for this watch against any manufacturing defects from the date of original retail purchase.

However, the guarantee does not cover the following :

  1. Normal wear and tear
  2. Damage caused by mishandling, including damage to mineral glass or acrylic crystal and strap or bracelet.
  3. Damage caused by the watch being opened anywhere other than a Titan customer service center.
  4. Plating damage due to exposure to chemical solvents, detergents, adhesives, cosmetic sprays etc.
  5. Plating wear-off on the underside of the metal bracelet.
  6. Damage due to water entry in a watch which is not marked ‘Water Resistant’.

Titan watches are synonymous with top-notch quality. I really like the choice I made in buying a Titan watch.
