Visuwords – A visual dictionary for English

Visuwords is a visual dictionary for English. The unique feature of this visual dictionary is that once you search the meaning of an English word in it, Visuwords will turn that word into a bouncing ball containing its meaning and pull related words in similar balls around it.

The balls of multiple colors are interlinked with each other where ever applicable using color coded lines. Each unique color of the ball indicates nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs respectively. More over, the lines denote the relationship between two balls.

A very visual way of learning the meaning of new English words. The following is what I saw when I searched for the word “Inane” in Visuwords.

I’ve actually used a visual dictionary through Webster Dictionary online. This post actually explains its many uses more thoroughly than Webster does. I was clueless. I find the visuals more relevant to me now that I am studying Latin, especially since almost every word in the English language has a Latin origin.
