Google launches Google Sync for mobile phones
Posted on July 26th, 2009 No commentsGoogle has launched Google Sync – A service which allows you to synchronize your phone’s built-in address book and calendar with your Google account.
Once you set up Google Sync on your phone, it will automatically update your contacts with your contacts in your Gmail account.
It will also download and update the appointments in your Google calendar to your mobile device.Google says, Sync is a two way service which means, you can add, delete or update all your contacts and calendar events in either Google services or your mobile phone and it gets updated in the other.
Your info is stored in your Google account which makes data loss redundant.
At present, Google Sync works only with the iPhone, Blackberry, Windows Mobile and Simian platforms, but eventually most mobile phones which have capability to connect to the Net will be supported.
