Firefox Extension – Talon – Take a screenshot of web pages
Posted on July 15th, 2009 No commentsAviary is a website which provides free online graphics tools to manipulate images. Recently the Aviary team released a Firefox extension called Talon which allows you not just to take a screenshot of any web page but also edit them in one of Aviary.com online editors.
To begin taking screenshots of web pages using Talon, first download the extension from Mozilla website and install it in Firefox. You will be prompted to restart Firefox for the changes to take effect. Once the extension is installed, you will see an Aviary icon on your Firefox web browser.
As you can see in the above image, you can capture a region, the visible portion of a webpage or the entire webpage.
Once you have captured the screenshot, you can either “Edit it in Aviary.com”, “Save to Desktop” or “Copy to Clipboard”.
Here is how the captured image looks in one of the Aviary online editors.
If you need more than what is offered by the basic editor shown above, you can also open the image in an advanced editor which provides far more options like filters, layers and so on.
If you are using Firefox 3.5 and above, this marvellous tool will even capture screenshot of Flash websites.
I am really impressed by the capabilities shown by the Aviary Talon Firefox extension which allows you to take a screenshot of the web pages you visit.
