Solar Quadricycle that transports 3 people with ample room for luggage
Posted on June 19th, 2009 No commentsAn 8th grader, with help from his family has build a solar quadri-cycle. A pedal assisted vehicle with four wheels. It is sleek to look at, carries 3 people with enough room for a dog and luggage.
Fourteen-year-old David Dixon of Novato Charter School, California, built the Solar Human Hybrid (SOHH) for a middle school project. He started with a ZEM (Zero Emission Machine), a four-person quadricycle built in Switzerland. He and his father David Dixon Sr. added some solar panels and an electric motor and they created the solar-human hybrid. You can read all the details of the project at their website.
