Microsoft Office which includes PowerPoint is the de-facto office software used in almost all corporate offices. While there are alternative Free office suites such as OpenOffice.org, they have yet to make a dent in the Microsoft stranglehold. But the good news is they are fast getting there.

Assuming you are faced with using MS PowerPoint to create presentations, here are a couple of free Add-ins which will enhance your presentations and help make your talk a success.

1. LiveWeb – This is a PowerPoint add-in which allows you to insert web pages and update them in real time within PowerPoint slides during the slide show. You can add multiple website addresses and each of them will be inserted as a separate PowerPoint slide within your presentation.
2. YouTube Video Add-in – Installing this add-in will allow you to embed YouTube videos in your PowerPoint presentations. The only prerequisite being you should have a live Internet connection to play the videos.
3. Presentation broadcast – This is an official Microsoft download. Presentation broadcast add-in makes it easy to synchronize the audio and video delivery of your Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003 presentations. Validation is required to download this add-in but it can be downloaded for free.
4. Producer for PowerPoint – This is a Microsoft add-in which helps you capture and synchronize audio, video, slides, and images, then preview and publish a rich media presentation virtually anywhere for viewing in a Web browser. As above, this download is also available only for genuine MS Office owners.
