A beginner's guide to Arch Linux installation
Posted on October 1st, 2008 No commentsArch Linux is a unique Linux distribution which is designed to be light weight and simple to use. Arch is largely based around binary packages. Packages are targeted for i686 and x86-64 microprocessors to assist performance on modern hardware. A ports/ebuild-like system is also provided for automated source compilation, known as the ABS (Arch Build System). But one drawback of Arch Linux is its cryptic text based installer which may not satisfy many Linux enthusiasts, hence the need for this video.
The following is a detailed video of installing Arch Linux on ones PC. Hints have been provided at relevant places to help you understand what is taking place within the video.
