  • Save the environment by printing wisely

I am sure, in the past, you have come across web content which you have printed out for later reference. If you haven’t yet, then you sure will. But printing webpages needs paper; and to manufacture paper, you have to cut down trees. You see where it is leading …? So by printing wisely, you save paper, thus saving trees and contributing to conserve our environment.

Unfortunately, webpages now a days are fairly graphics intensive with lots of images and advertisements. And sending a webpage to the printer will print all these images and ads which wastes additional paper.

This is were the website printwhatyoulike.com comes into the picture. This unique site lets you modify any webpage  prior to sending it to the printer.  Removing graphics and unwanted material from any  webpage on the net is child’s play and all you have to do is select the unnecessary blocks of content and press the Delete button. You can even change the size and typeface of the fonts. There are special buttons for removing only images, removing the background, widening the selected text block and so on. Once you are satisfied with your work, you can send the modified webpage to the printer.

Oh yeah, apart from saving trees and thus our environment, you will also save big time on printer cartridges if you start printing wisely. And “Print what you like” website helps you in achieving these goals.

Next time you have a web page content to print, you now know what to do right ?

    • I never print the web page directly. Copy, Paste at OpenOffice Writer and print if necessary.

    • Sapteka,
This is even better as you can directly edit out unwanted content from your webpage from within the web browser before sending the page to the printer.

No need of copy and paste. :-)
