PC-BSD has released its latest edition of OS based on FreeBSD 7.0. This release has been named Fibonnaci edition. The aim of PC-BSD is to make FreeBSD user friendly and is targeted at the desktop user. Not surprisingly, PC-BSD is easy to install – comes with a nice GUI installer – on ones machine and applications can be installed by the users just like you install applications in Microsoft Windows – ie a point and click process.
PC-BSD comes bundled with propritery NVIDIA graphics drivers and with out of the box Java and Flash support. The latest release also features KDE 4.1.1.
