The man pages are provided for each of the Ubuntu releases right from 6.06 LTS to the current stable version of Ubuntu 8.10. The man pages are provided in multiple languages. So the next time you wish to view the man page of a command, head over to the Ubuntu Manpages Repository and take a look.
